13 Cookbooks for Menu of Hope IV Charity Event

A reminder about the fourth annual Menu for Hope, a charitable raffle that raises money for the UN World Food Program (WFP) conceived by Pim Techamuanvivit, of Chez Pim blog. Menu for Hope IV runs from December 10-21, 2007.

This year’s fundraising target is US$100,000. A very achievable one considering the fundraiser raised over $60,000 last year. There are some great prizes donated by food bloggers from around the world-- everything from jars of homemade preserves to some beautiful cookbooks, donated by yours truly. I’ve put together 13 cookbooks (pictured here) by some of your favourite Food Network Canada chefs (note: apple in the background is not included since I had it for lunch).

They are:

Nigella Express by Nigella Lawson
Everyday Pasta by Giada De Laurentiis
Just in Time by Rachael Ray
French Food at Home by Laura Calder
Mission: Cook! by Robert Irvine
Pure Food by Christine Cushing
Deconstructing the Dish by David Adjey
Eat, Shrink and Be Merry by Janet and Greta Podleski
The Dinner Fix by Sandi Richard
Quick Fix Meals by Robin Miller
Dish Entertains by Trish Magwood
This Food That Wine by Angie MacRae and Stacey Metulynsky
Paula Deen and Friends by Paula Deen

Due to shipping limitation my prize will be limited to those living in North America. For your chance to win all 13 cookbooks, all you have to do is donate. A $10 donation will get you one raffle ticket toward the prize. To bid on my prize, you'll need the code CA01.

Donation/ticket buying instructions:

1. Choose a prize (or prizes) from the master list. A list of Canadian donations can also be found on The Domestic Goddess blog.

2. Go to the donation site and make a donation.

3. Please specify which prize you'd like in the 'Personal Message' section in the donation form when confirming your donation. You must write in how many tickets per prize, and please use the prize code (for example CA01). Each $10 you donate will give you one raffle ticket toward a prize of your choice. For example, a donation of $50 can be 2 tickets for CA01 and 3 tickets for CA02. Please write 2xCA01, 3xCA02

4. If your company matches your charity donation, please check the box and fill in the information so we could claim the corporate match.

5. Please check the box to allow us to see your email address so that we could contact you in case you win. Your email address will not be shared with anyone.

6. Check Chez Pim on Wednesday Jaunary 9th, 2008 for the results of the raffle.

I just tried to donate $10.00 for one raffle ticket and the web site didn't have spaces for postal code. Suggestions?

Hi Geo--It's probably best to direct your questions to the Chez Pim blog (link above) since they are the ones organizing everything.

Or I would direct the questions to the Domestic Goddess blog since I'm sure Pim is getting slammed.
