On Tonight's Dinner Menu

I’ve been checking out the 2006 Food Blog Award Winners put on by the Well Fed Network and have come up with two recipes to try out for dinner tonight: The Turkey Chili Recipe (I’m determined to get through my leftover turkey) courtesy of Simply Recipes (best overall food blog) and the Whole Wheat Banana Bread from Pinch My Salt (best new food blog).  I’ll let you know how they turn out tomorrow.  With so many food blogs other there, it's easy to get overwhelmed so these winning blogs are a good place to start. (My woefully inept senses are starting to tingle again).

Wow - I was going through the various blogs, and the one that got best post (the amateur gourmet) is hilarious! There's a funny video of him singing The Facts of Life theme song while enjoying a complimentary dinner at a high-class restaurant serving mostly truffles after he consumes too much vino.

Hope you enjoyed the Banana Bread! It's a strange coincidence but I just happened to make some Turkey Chili last night too! :-)

Catherine, The chili turned out great actually! I used four types of beans, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, corn, and ground turkey. I'll probably be posting the recipe next week :-)
