"Delicious" is how Anna Olson describes the variety of her days. From hosting Fresh with Anna Olson on Food Network Canada, to writing recipes for print media or her latest of five cookbooks, Anna craves that every day be different but tantalizing.
Whether writing, hosting, or spending her days as owner of two Niagara-based food operations (Olson Foods at Port in the scenic lakeside community of Port Dalhousie and partner in Olson Foods at Ravine on the property of the new and acclaimed Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery), Anna likes connecting with people.
"It’s not me who calls the trends in foods; it’s those who make my recipes or come into the stores and tell me what they like or what they’re looking for who decide what’s popular," says Anna.
And, in her spare time, Anna cooks some more. She donates much time to local charities and enjoys downtime with her husband, Michael, in the kitchen cooking and laughing.
