Born in Athens, Greece, Christine immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of one. While growing up in Toronto, her easy-bake oven soon became her most prized possession. At nine, she graduated to a real stove and began cooking alongside her father—an accomplished home chef. Although cooking was in her veins, Christine decided to pursue a career in her other passion: The field of linguistics. However, in the midst of her studies she discovered that the kitchen was calling her, so she dropped the dictionary and was wooed away by her love of food.
